Information Technology Assistant

 Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking an Information Technology Assistant. The IT Assistant installs, modifies and makes minor repairs to personal computer hardware and software systems, and provides technical advice and support to system users.

 Minimum Qualifications – Associates Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent certification, and one year hands-on experience.  Must possess knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and applications, including Microsoft Server 2003 and 2008.

Janitor/Cleaner Supervisor

 Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Janitor/Cleaner Supervisor. The Janitor/Cleaner Supervisor is responsible for general cleaning, upkeep of Head Start School and the supervision of the Janitor/Cleaners.

 Minimum Qualifications – High School Diploma (or GED) with at least 2 years of supervisory experience.  Knowledge of custodial tasks and responsibilities, and understanding of custodial materials and   chemicals.  Must be able to operate a variety of tools and equipment including vacuum cleaner and power equipment to buff and restore floors and shampoo carpets. Must have reliable transportation and a clean and valid NYS Driver’s License.

Handyman

 Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Handyman. The Handyman is responsible for minor repairs and assisting with maintenance of Agency buildings and grounds. Minimum Qualifications – High School Diploma/GED with 1-3 years experience in building/grounds maintenance and minor repair.  Ability to operate a variety of hand and power tools to perform maintenance work.  Must have reliable transportation and a clean and valid NYS Driver’s License.

Classroom Aide

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Classroom Aide. The Classroom Aide assists in providing high quality and comprehensive early child development service inclusive of children with special needs.

 Child Development Associates credential (CDA) is preferred; or a High School Diploma/GED and enrolled in a program leading to a Child Development Associates credential to be completed within two years; or enrolled in a program leading to an Associate’s Degree or Baccalaureate Degree in Early Childhood Education.  Experience preferred working with pre-schoolers and/or children with disabilities.

Energy Services Building Technician – Part-time

 

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a part-time, temporary Energy Services Building Technician. The primary responsibility of the Energy Services Building Technician is to implement energy conservation construction techniques in reducing air infiltration and base-load energy usage in the homes of approved customers.

 A High School Diploma or GED is required; Vocational or Technical training in Carpentry or Construction highly preferred.  Working knowledge of basic handyman skills and carpentry skills.  Basic arithmetic skills required.  Must have reliable transportation and a clean and valid NYS Driver’s License.

 This position is a temporary, part-time position for up to 3 months with a pay rate of $10.00 per hour, 24 hrs/wk.  Hours will be primarilyMonday – Wednesday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm.  Some flexibility to work Thursdays and Fridays.

Family Worker

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Family Worker in the Early Childhood program. The Family Worker is the liaison between parents and the Head Start program as well as between community resources and the family. 

 Associates Degree in Human Services or a related field preferred. Must have at least two years experience in community work either as a volunteer or paid employee.  Must have a clean and valid NYS Driver’s License.  Must enroll in and complete a Family Service Credentialing Program such as the Family Development Credential program or Head Start Family Service Credential program.
