Family Worker

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Family Worker in the Early Childhood program. The Family Worker is the liaison between parents and the Head Start program as well as between community resources and the family.

Associates Degree in Human Services or a related field preferred. Must have at least two years experience in community work either as a volunteer or paid employee.  Must enroll in and complete a Family Service Credentialing Program such as the Family Development Credential program or Head Start Family Service Credential program.  Must have a clean and valid NYS driver’s license. 

This is a full-time, 11-month position.  The hourly rate is $13.93/hr, 37.5 hrs/week.

Community Services Supervisor

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Community Services Supervisor.  Supervises the central intake process and case management staff. Ensures high quality customer service and accurate record keeping.    Provides direct services, advocacy, referrals and follow-up to customers including home visits when needed. Responds to customers in crisis seeking assistance, including homeless/housing assistance, through direct contact or referral.

Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or related field with 2 years of supervisory experience preferred, or Associates’ degree in the above fields with 4 years of supervisory experience. Family Development Credential and/or 1-3 years prior case management experience is preferred.  Must have a clean and valid NYS driver’s license. 

This is a non-exempt position with a pay rate of $16.50/hour, scheduled 35 hrs/week.

UPK Teacher - Auburn

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a UPK Teacher for their Early Childhood Program. The UPK Teacher provides high quality and comprehensive child development instruction to children and parents as well as classroom leadership in a UPK or Head Start/UPK class.  Must have an ability to plan and implement learning experiences that advance the intellectual and physical development of children, including improving the readiness of children for school.

Must possess a NYS Professional Certification inclusive of certification at the pre-kindergarten/nursery level.   Must have a clean and valid NYS driver’s license. 

This is a full-time, 11-month position and is scheduled 40 hrs/wk, 45 wks/yr. The pay rate is $18.51/hr.

Energy Services Crew Member

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking an Energy Services Crew Member. The primary responsibility of the Crew Member is to install energy savings measures in homes to reduce the energy burden on the customers we serve.

High School Diploma/GED is required; Vocational or technical training in carpentry or construction highly preferred.  Working knowledge of basic handyman skills and carpentry skills.  Basic arithmetic skills required.  Must have reliable transportation and a clean and valid NYS driver’s license.

This is a full-time position with a pay rate of $12.25 per hour, 40 hrs/wk.

Mental Health Counselor

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Mental Health Counselor in the Early Childhood Program. The Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant (ECMHC) is responsible for providing early childhood mental health consultation support to Head Start staff, children and families. The ECMHC will provide a broad range of services, including mental health consultation in classrooms and through home visits; training and coaching staff; screening, assessment and referral services and parent trainings. The ECMHC will also collect data, maintain records and support compliance in all facets of Head Start Performance Standards and State Regulations.

Must possess a Master’s Degree and a license or certification in a mental health profession, or at minimum, possess a limited permit and be actively working on obtaining professional licensure in a mental health profession.  Must have a minimum of one year experience working with preschool children.  Must have the knowledge of professional standards governing child welfare critical services.  Must have a clean, valid NYS driver’s license.

This is a full-time, 10-month position.  The pay rate is $22.42/hr, 40 hrs/week.  Start date for this position is August 27, 2018.

Nutrition Worker Substitutes
