Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Home Visitor in the Early Childhood program. The Home Visitor works directly with families and children in their home providing early childhood education, adult education, and advocacy.

An Associate’s Degree in Applied Science in Child Development, Human Services, or related field preferred.  Experience relating to and working with pregnant mothers, infants, and toddlers with or without special needs.  Must possess knowledge of infant and child development and family interaction and be sensitive to the needs and characteristics of young children and families.

Janitor/Cleaner

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Janitor/Cleaner. The Janitor/Cleaner is responsible for general cleaning, maintenance, and upkeep of Agency sites.

Minimum Qualifications – High School Diploma/GED.  Knowledge of custodial tasks and responsibilities, and understanding of custodial materials and chemicals.  Ability to safely work with equipment and mild chemicals common to the trade and do so in a manner safe to oneself, others in the area, and to the environment.  Must have reliable transportation and a clean and valid NYS Driver’s License.

Disability Resource Coordinator

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Disability Resource Coordinator.   The Disability Resource Coordinator improves coordination and collaboration among employment and training programs carried out at a state and local level, as well as to expand the use of Employment Networks under the Ticket to Work program.  The Disability Resource Coordinator will work to build effective community partnerships that leverage public and private resources to better serve individuals with disabilities and improve employment outcomes.

 Qualified candidates should have a combination of education and/or proven work experience in delivering services to individuals with disabilities.  A Level I Work Incentives Information Network (WIIN) credential practitioner or the ability to become WIIN certified is preferred.  Candidate must be familiar with the local community and agencies, along with knowledge of ADA issues and the ability to advise/refer and work effectively with youth and adults with disabilities.

Family Support Worker 

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Family Support Worker in our Healthy Families program. The Family Support Worker is responsible for initiating and maintaining regular, long-term contact with families for the purpose of strengthening the parent-child relationship, providing child development information, offering support in the areas of goal setting and problem solving.

A High School Diploma or GED is required with 1-3 years experience working with families in a community setting.  Prior parenting and/or child care experience preferred.

 Family Assessment Worker

CSCAA is seeking a Family Assessment Worker in our Cayuga County Healthy Families program. The Family Assessment Worker is responsible for conducting interviews in the home to identify at-risk families and making appropriate referrals to community resources.

 A High School Diploma or GED required with 1-3 years experience working with, or assisting, high-risk families in a community setting and/or performing home visits.   Prior parenting and/or child care experience preferred.

Assistant Teacher 

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a full-time Assistant Teacher for their Head Start Program at Southern Cayuga Central School. The Assistant Teacher helps in providing high quality and comprehensive child development instruction to children and parents, and aids in classroom leadership.

 Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from an accredited college or a higher degree in a related field is required.  This is a 10-month position that follows the Head Start School Calendar. Reliable transportation and a clean and valid NYS driver’s license is required.
