Janitor/Cleaner

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Janitor/Cleaner. The Janitor/Cleaner is responsible for general cleaning, maintenance, and upkeep of Agency sites.

High School Diploma/GED is required.  Knowledge of custodial tasks and responsibilities, and understanding of custodial materials and chemicals.  Ability to safely work with equipment and mild chemicals common to the trade and do so in a manner safe to oneself, others in the area, and to the environment.  Must have reliable transportation and a clean and valid NYS driver’s license. 

This position is a full-time, non-exempt, 40 hr/wk position with a pay rate of $10.69 per hour.  Scheduled hours are 3:30pm – midnight, Monday through Friday.

Program Manager

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Healthy Families Program Manager.  The Program Manager is responsible for overall planning and direction of the program, including direct supervision of the program staff.  Healthy Families provides support and information to new and expectant parents of all ages. It is comprised of several components, including providing the most up-to-date information on child health and development, promoting parent-child interaction, and supporting and assisting families to achieve and sustain self-sufficiency. 

Minimum qualifications:  Bachelor’s Degree in related field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.  Master’s Degree in Social Work or Health strongly recommended.  Experience in home visiting, with a strong background in prevention services to the 0-3 population.  Knowledge of  infant and child development, psychosocial dynamics, dynamics of child abuse and neglect.  Experience in supervising staff, counseling, teaching, managing a budget and team building and motivation.  Must have a clean and valid NYS driver’s license. 

This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a pay rate of $24.00/hour, 35 hrs/week.

NOEP Coordinator

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a NOEP Coordinator in our Emergency Services program.  The Nutrition Outreach and Education Project (NOEP) Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and carrying out activities related to the Nutrition Outreach and Education Project.  The NOEP Coordinator will also provide services to the poor and the disenfranchised through advocacy, information and referral, crisis intervention services, and short term case management.

Bachelor’s degree or at least two years of experience in the social services field is required.  Knowledge of social service delivery systems and Cayuga County resources.  Ability to travel to satellite sites throughout Cayuga County and conduct home visits, if necessary.  Must have a clean, valid NYS driver’s license. 

This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a pay rate of $15.00/hour, 35 hrs/week.

3PK Teacher

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a 3PK Teacher for their Early Childhood Program in Auburn. The 3PK Teacher provides high quality and comprehensive child development instruction to children and parents as well as classroom leadership in a 3 year-old Head Start or 3PK class.  Must have an ability to plan and implement learning experiences that advance the intellectual and physical development of children, including improving the readiness of children for school.

Must possess a NYS Professional Certification inclusive of certification at the pre-kindergarten/nursery level.   Must have a clean and valid NYS driver’s license. 

This is a full-time, 11-month position and is scheduled 35 hrs/wk, 45 wks/yr.  The pay rate is $18.51/hr.

Health/Nutrition Educator - LPN

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Health/Nutrition Educator in our Early Childhood Program. The Health/Nutrition Educator assists the Health/Nutrition Coordinator in monitoring and implementing health/nutrition services according to the Early Childhood Development and Health Care Plans, and all local, state, and federal policies and procedures.

A Licensed Practical Nursing Degree from an accredited college is required.  Knowledge of pre-natal to pre-school growth and development, and children’s health and nutrition issues.  Must have a clean and valid NYS driver’s license. 

This is a full-time, 11-month position and is scheduled Monday – Friday, 40 daytime hrs/wk, 48 wks/yr.  The pay rate is $14.25/hr.

Health/Nutrition Coordinator - LPN or RN

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Health/Nutrition Coordinator in our Early Childhood Program. The Health/Nutrition Coordinator supervises all health and nutrition staff in program development and manages health services including child medical, dental and nutrition services.  Ensures compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, OCFS licensing and CACFP.

RN preferred or LPN with at least 2 years community health experience.  Staff supervision experience preferred.  Must have a clean and valid NYS driver’s license. 

This is a full-time, 11-month position and is scheduled Monday - Friday, 40 hrs/wk, 46 wks/year. Pay rate for RN is $25.53/hr and LPN is $18.70/hr.

Mentor Coach

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Mentor Coach in the Early Childhood program. The Mentor Coach is responsible for observing and assessing the classroom activities of the program.  Provide on-the-job guidance and training to the Early Childhood program staff and volunteers, in order to improve the qualifications and training of classroom staff. Maintain high-quality education services and to promote career development in programs.

Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is required.  A minimum of 2 years early childhood experience with the knowledge of the Head Start model preferred.  Minimum of 1 year experience in a position supervising child care staff or involving parent/adult education preferred.  Must have a clean and valid NYS driver’s license. 

This is a full-time, 10-month position.  The hourly rate is $16.50/hr, 35 hrs/week.

Human Resource Assistant - part-time

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a part-time Human Resource Assistant. The HR Assistant provides administrative support to the Human Resource Director on all personnel matters and assists with employee and volunteer relations, HRIS, training and development, benefits, compensation, and employment.

An Associates’ degree in human resource management with 1-2 years experience in the HR field preferred, or any similar combination of education and experience. Must have computer experience and be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.  Must have good administrative, organizational and communication skills.  Must have reliable transportation and a clean and valid NYS driver’s license.

This is a part-time, non-exempt position.  The hourly rate is $15.50/hr, 21 hrs/wk.

HUD Case Manager

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a HUD Case Manager in our Emergency Services Rapid Re-Housing program. The HUD Case Manager will provide trauma informed case management services to homeless families.

Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field required with a minimum of two years prior case management experience working with families in crisis.  Demonstrated experience in working with the homeless or low income individuals and families.  Prior experience and understanding of causes of homelessness and experience working with landlords.  Must also have experience in crisis prevention and intervention services.  Must have a clean and valid NYS driver’s license.

Health Care Navigator

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Health Care Navigator for the NYS Health Benefit Exchange in Cayuga County. The Health Care Navigator provides outreach, enrollment, and retention services to families and individuals eligible for government sponsored insurance programs.   The HCN is responsible to coordinate outreach and enrollment efforts by working collaboratively with other staff, member clinics and community based organizations. 

High School Diploma/GED with 2 years of HCN experience, or an Associates’ degree in related healthcare field with experience in benefits administration and experience in the health care and/or insurance industry preferred.  Knowledge of eligibility requirements and application process of all government sponsored health insurance programs. Must have reliable transportation and a clean and valid NYS Driver’s License.

Domestic Violence/CPS Advocate

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking an CPS Advocate in our Domestic Violence Program. The Domestic Violence Advocate provides direct services to victims of domestic violence and their children. Serves as a liaison between victims of domestic violence and law enforcement, the courts, social services, and other service providers.

Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology or related field required. Family Development Credential is desired. One year experience working in human services or with victims of domestic violence is preferred.

Must have a High School Diploma or GED.  Experience preferred working with pre-schoolers and/or children with disabilities. 

This is an on-call, as-needed position.  The payrate is $10.69/hr.
