Combination Option Teacher

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a full-time Combination Option Teacher in our Early Childhood Program. The Combination Option Teacher works directly with families and children in their home and the classroom providing early childhood education, adult education, and advocacy. 

A Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field from an accredited college is required. 

This position is a full-time, 11-month position that follows the Head Start School Calendar. Healthy Families Family Support Worker

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Family Support Worker in our Healthy Families program. The Family Support Worker is responsible for initiating and maintaining regular, long term contact with families for the purpose of strengthening the parent-child relationship, providing child development information, offering support in the areas of goal setting and problem solving.

An Associates’ Degree in Human Services or related field is required with 1-3 years experience working with families in a community setting.  Prior parenting and/or child care experience preferred. Must have a valid and clean NYS driver’s license.

Classroom Aide

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Classroom Aide in the Early Childhood Program. The Classroom Aide assists in providing high quality and comprehensive early child development service inclusive of children with special needs.

Child Development Associates credential (CDA) is preferred; or a High School Diploma/GED and enrolled in a program leading to a Child Development Associates credential to be completed within two years; or be enrolled in a program leading to an Associate’s Degree or Baccalaureate Degree in Early Childhood Education.  Experience preferred working with pre-schoolers and/or children with disabilities.  Must have a clean, valid NYS driver’s license.

UPK Teacher

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a full-time UPK Teacher for their Early Childhood Program in the Casey Park School District. The UPK Teacher provides high quality and comprehensive child development instruction to children and parents as well as classroom leadership in a UPK or Head Start/UPK class.  Must have an ability to plan and implement learning experiences that advance the intellectual and physical development of children, including improving the readiness of children for school.

Must possess a NYS Professional Certification inclusive of certification at the pre-kindergarten/nursery level.  This is a full-time position that follows the Head Start School Calendar. Reliable transportation and a clean and valid NYS driver’s license is required.  Excellent benefits package.  The rate of pay is $18.51/hr, 40 hr/wk, 45 wks/yr.

Must have a High School Diploma or GED.  Experience preferred working with pre-schoolers and/or children with disabilities.
