Janitor/Cleaner

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Janitor/Cleaner. The Janitor/Cleaner is responsible for general cleaning, maintenance, and upkeep of Agency sites.

Minimum Qualifications – High School Diploma/GED.  Knowledge of custodial tasks and responsibilities, and understanding of custodial materials and chemicals.  Ability to safely work with equipment and mild chemicals common to the trade and do so in a manner safe to oneself, others in the area, and to the environment.  Must have reliable transportation and a clean and valid NYS Driver’s License.

Energy Services Crew Foreman

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking an Energy Services Crew Foreman. The Foreman will ensure the proper completion of energy audits, workscope development and installation of prescribed energy efficient retrofits.  Provide daily supervision of and direction to Energy Services Crew Members and Building Technicians.

 High school diploma/GED required.  A NYS Manufactured Housing Mechanic certification strongly preferred or the ability to become certified within 6 months required.  Four years of field experience and a working knowledge of basic handyman skills and carpentry skills. Supervisory experience required. Reliable transportation and a clean, valid NYS driver’s license is required. 

This position is a full-time, non-exempt position with a payrate of $15.20/hr., 40 hrs/wk.  Excellent benefits package.

Energy Services Auditor

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking an Energy Services Auditor.  The primary responsibility of the Energy Services Auditor is to conduct energy audits in the homes of approved customers by using energy conservation construction techniques to reduce air filtration and base-load energy usage. Additionally, the Energy Services Auditor is responsible to prescribe and prioritize energy conservation and health and safety installations for approved customers.

High School Diploma/GED required. Building Performance Institute-Building Analyst certification is highly desired.  Ability to obtain BPI certification as Building Analyst, Envelope Professional, Heating Professional, and Manufactured Housing Professional and Quality Control Inspector within 18 months of hire required. RRP Lead Renovator certification strongly preferred. One to three years prior related field experience with a working knowledge of basic handyman skills and carpentry skills.  Reliable transportation and a clean, valid NYS driver’s license is required.  

This position is a full-time, non-exempt position with a payrate of $13.72/hr., 40 hrs/wk.  Excellent benefits package.

Classroom Aide

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc.  is seeking a Classroom Aide. The Classroom Aide assists in providing high quality and comprehensive early child development service inclusive of children with special needs. 

Child Development Associates credential (CDA) is preferred; or a High School Diploma or GED and enrolled in a program leading to a Child Development Associates credential to be completed within two years; or be enrolled in a program leading to an Associate’s Degree or Baccalaureate Degree in Early Childhood Education.  Experience preferred working with pre-schoolers and/or children with disabilities.

Case Manager

CSCAA is seeking a Case Manager in our Family Development program.  The Case Manager provides case management services to a caseload of eligible participants.  Responsibilities include conducting intake, evaluations and assessments on participants, developing individualized service plans, and responding to customers in crisis seeking assistance through direct contact or referral. 

High School Diploma/GED is required.  Associates degree in Human Services, Sociology, or Psychology with 1-3 years prior case management experience with young adults is preferred.  Attached is a full job description.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a pay rate of $13.68/hour, based on 35 hrs/week. A High School Diploma or GED is required; Vocational or technical training in carpentry or construction highly preferred.  Working knowledge of basic handyman skills and carpentry skills.  Basic arithmetic skills required.  Must have reliable transportation and a clean and valid NYS driver’s license.
