Health Care Navigator

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Health Care Navigator for the NYS Health Benefit Exchange in Cayuga County. The Health Care Navigator provides outreach, enrollment, and retention services to families and individuals eligible for government sponsored insurance programs.   The HCN is responsible to coordinate outreach and enrollment efforts by working collaboratively with other staff, member clinics and community based organizations. 

Minimum Qualifications - High School Diploma/GED with 2 years of HCN experience, or an Associates’ degree in related healthcare field with experience in benefits administration and experience in the health care and/or insurance industry preferred.  Knowledge of eligibility requirements and application process of all government sponsored health insurance programs. Combination Option Teacher

 Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a full-timeCombination Option Teacher for our Head Start Program in Cato. TheCombination Option Teacher works directly with families and children in their home and the classroom providing early childhood education, adult education, and advocacy. 

 Candidates must possess a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field from an accredited college.

Domestic Violence Advocate/Educator 

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Domestic Violence Advocate/Educator. The Advocate/Educator provides direct services to victims of domestic violence and their children and serves as a liaison between victims of domestic violence and law enforcement, the courts, social services, and other service providers.  Also provides educational presentations to the community regarding the dynamics of domestic violence and the services provided by CSCAA.  Must be comfortable with public speaking and presenting to large groups. 

Must have completed a minimum of 60 credit hours in a regionally accredited or NYS registered college, or High School Diploma/GED and two years of related work experience.

Special Services Aide

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Special Services Aide. The Special Services Aide assists in providing high quality and comprehensive early child development service inclusive of children with special needs.

Child Development Associates credential (CDA) is preferred; or a High School Diploma/GED and enrolled in a program leading to a Child Development Associates credential to be completed within two years; or enrolled in a program leading to an Associate’s Degree or Baccalaureate Degree in Early Childhood Education.  Experience preferred working with pre-schoolers and/or children with disabilities.

Accounting Clerk

 Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Clerk.  The Accounting Clerk assists in the financial activities of the Agency and is responsible for monthly bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivables. 

Two-year degree in Accounting with 0-1 years of related experience; or a High School Diploma or (GED) with 3-5 years experience in bookkeeping.  A working knowledge of computer systems and ability to learn and work with various software programs.  Must have reliable transportation and a clean and valid NYS Driver’s License.

Office Assistant

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking an Office Assistant.  The Office Assistant acts as the initial contact for the Agency’s Site II location, providing the highest level of customer service to callers and visitors and provides secretarial support to the Administrative Assistant.

High School Diploma/GED with 2 years of experience or Associates degree in Office Technology preferred.   Must have computer experience and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Publisher.  Must have good administrative, organizational and communication skills.  Must have reliable transportation and a clean and valid NYS Driver’s License.
