Domestic Violence CPS Advocate

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a CPS Advocate in our Domestic Violence Program. The Domestic Violence/CPS Advocate works in collaboration with the Cayuga County Department of Health and Human Services Child Protective Services Unit to provide direct services to victims of domestic violence and their children.

High School Diploma/GED or completion of 60 credit hours (minimum) in a regionally accredited or NYS registered college is preferred. Family Development Credential is desired.  One year experience working with victims of domestic violence is required.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. The pay rate  is $13.93 per hour, 35 hours per week.  Excellent benefits package.

3PK Teacher

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking 2 full-time 3PK Teachers for their Early Childhood Program in Auburn. The 3PK Teacher provides high quality and comprehensive child development instruction to children age 3 and parents as well as classroom leadership in a UPK or Head Start/UPK class.  Must have an ability to plan and implement learning experiences that advance the intellectual and physical development of children, including improving the readiness of children for school. 

Must possess a NYS Professional Certification B-2nd inclusive of certification at the pre-kindergarten/nursery level.  This is a full-time position that follows the Head Start School Calendar. Reliable transportation and a clean and valid NYS driver’s license is required. 

The rate of pay is $18.51/hr.  Scheduled hours are 35 hr/wk, 45 wks/yr.  Excellent benefits package.

Classroom Aide - Auburn

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Classroom Aide in the Early Childhood Program. The Classroom Aide assists in providing high quality and comprehensive early child development service inclusive of children with special needs.

Child Development Associates credential (CDA) is preferred; or a High School Diploma/GED and enrolled in a program leading to a Child Development Associates credential to be completed within two years; or be enrolled in a program leading to an Associate’s Degree or Baccalaureate Degree in Early Childhood Education.  Experience preferred working with pre-schoolers and/or children with disabilities.  Must have a clean, valid NYS driver’s license. 

This is a full-time, 10-month position.  The hourly rate is $10.69/hr, 35 hrs/week (Auburn).  Excellent benefits package.

Early Childhood Substitutes

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking Substitutes in our Early Childhood Program. Substitutes assist in providing high quality and comprehensive child development instruction to children and parents, and aids in classroom leadership on an as-needed basis.

Must have a High School Diploma or GED.  Experience preferred working with pre-schoolers and/or children with disabilities. 

This is an on-call, as-needed position.  The payrate is $10.50/hr.
