Energy Services Director

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking an Energy Services Director. The Energy Services Director is responsible for the supervision of Energy Services staff and the implementation and oversight of procedures for the proper delivery of energy conservation programs.

High school diploma/GED required.  Bachelor’s degree in building science or five years progressive responsibility in management of construction and energy related fields preferred.  BPI Certified including Energy Auditor, Heating Professional, Manufactured Homes and Quality Control Inspector or obtain within first year of employment.  Experience in grant writing, budget monitoring, and public speaking desired.  Knowledge of database entry, word processing and spreadsheets.  Reliable transportation and a clean, valid NYS driver’s license is required. 

This is a full-time, exempt position with a salary of $2,087.20 bi-weekly.

Classroom Aide - SCCS

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Classroom Aide in the Early Childhood Program located at Southern Cayuga Central School. The Classroom Aide assists in providing high quality and comprehensive early child development service inclusive of children with special needs.

Child Development Associates credential (CDA) is preferred; or a High School Diploma/GED and enrolled in a program leading to a Child Development Associates credential to be completed within two years; or be enrolled in a program leading to an Associate’s Degree or Baccalaureate Degree in Early Childhood Education.  Experience preferred working with pre-schoolers and/or children with disabilities.  Must have a clean, valid NYS driver’s license. 

This is a full-time, 11-month position.  The hourly rate is $10.69/hr, 37.5 hrs/week.

Early Childhood Family Worker

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Family Worker in the Early Childhood program. The Family Worker is the liaison between parents and the Head Start program as well as between community resources and the family.

Associates Degree in Human Services or a related field preferred. Must have at least two years experience in community work either as a volunteer or paid employee.  Must enroll in and complete a Family Service Credentialing Program such as the Family Development Credential program or Head Start Family Service Credential program.  Must have a clean and valid NYS driver’s license. 

This is a full-time, 11-month position.  The hourly rate is $13.93/hr, 37.5 hrs/week.

Community, Family and Victim Services Director

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Community, Family and Victim Services Director.  The CFV Services Director is responsible for the Domestic Violence Intervention Program, Transitional Housing Assistance Program, the Supervised Visitation/Safe Exchange Program, Emergency Services and Kinship Departments.

Bachelor’s Degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or related field required.  Four years experience in human services preferred.  Two to five years supervisory experience preferred.  Experience in grant writing, budget monitoring, and public speaking.  Must have a clean and valid NYS driver’s license. 

This is a full-time, exempt position with an annual salary of $56,368.

Marketing and Development Assistant - part-time

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Marketing and Development Assistant.  The Assistant provides administrative support to the Marketing and Development Director to increase public awareness of and participation in the Agency’s mission and programs, and to communicate the Agency’s value and contributions to potential donors and funders. The Assistant supports the Marketing and Development Director in the areas of marketing, public relations, planning, program development, and fundraising including grant writing, events planning and donor development

An Associates’ degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, English, Writing, or related field, with 1-2 years successful experience in a position that includes marketing, communications, development, proposal preparation, writing, events planning, and/or fundraising preferred; or any similar combination of education and experience.  Outstanding writing and proofreading skills, including the ability to create original, creative, and persuasive correspondence and messaging.  Must have reliable transportation and a clean and valid NYS driver’s license. 

This is a part-time, non-exempt position.  The hourly rate is $15.00/hr, 21 hrs/wk.

Combination Option Teacher - Cato

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Combination Option Teacher in our Early Childhood Program at the Cato School District. The Combination Option Teacher works directly with families and children in their home and the classroom providing early childhood education, adult education, and advocacy. 

A Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field from an accredited college is required.  This position is a full-time, 10-month position that follows the Head Start School Calendar.   Reliable transportation and a clean and valid NYS driver’s license is required. 

The rate of pay is $15.06 per hour.  Scheduled hours are 40 hrs/wk, 44 wks/yr.

Human Resource Assistant - part-time

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a part-time Human Resource Assistant. The HR Assistant provides administrative support to the Human Resource Director on all personnel matters and assists with employee and volunteer relations, HRIS, training and development, benefits, compensation, and employment.

An Associates’ degree in human resource management with 1-2 years experience in the HR field preferred, or any similar combination of education and experience. Must have computer experience and be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.  Must have good administrative, organizational and communication skills.  Must have reliable transportation and a clean and valid NYS driver’s license.

This is a part-time, non-exempt position.  The hourly rate is $15.50/hr, 21 hrs/wk.

Health Care Navigator

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Health Care Navigator for the NYS Health Benefit Exchange in Cayuga County. The Health Care Navigator provides outreach, enrollment, and retention services to families and individuals eligible for government sponsored insurance programs.   The HCN is responsible to coordinate outreach and enrollment efforts by working collaboratively with other staff, member clinics and community based organizations. 

High School Diploma/GED with 2 years of HCN experience, or an Associates’ degree in related healthcare field with experience in benefits administration and experience in the health care and/or insurance industry preferred.  Knowledge of eligibility requirements and application process of all government sponsored health insurance programs. Must have reliable transportation and a clean and valid NYS Driver’s License. 

This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a pay rate of $15.47/hr.

Grants Analyst

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Grants Analyst.  The Grants Analyst provides assistance to the Fiscal Director, planning, coordinating and accurately fulfilling program Grant accounting functions regarding budget and compliance issues in a timely and professional manner in compliance with State & Federal rules and regulations.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or other related field desired. A minimum 2 years general accounting experience required, with preference toward grant/fund accounting experience. Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP and clear understanding of not-for-profit, fund accounting environment. Working knowledge of computer systems and ability to learn and work with various software programs.  Must have a clean and valid NYS driver’s license. 

This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a pay rate of $19.25/hr.

The UPK Teacher provides high quality and comprehensive child development instruction to children and parents as well as classroom leadership in a UPK or Head Start/UPK class.  Must have an ability to plan and implement learning experiences that advance the intellectual and physical development of children, including improving the readiness of children for school.

This is a full-time, 11-month position and is scheduled 40 hrs/wk, 45 wks/yr. The pay rate is $18.51/hr.

Janitor/Cleaner

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Janitor/Cleaner. The Janitor/Cleaner is responsible for general cleaning, maintenance, and upkeep of Agency sites.

High School Diploma/GED is required.  Knowledge of custodial tasks and responsibilities, and understanding of custodial materials and chemicals.  Ability to safely work with equipment and mild chemicals common to the trade and do so in a manner safe to oneself, others in the area, and to the environment.  Must have reliable transportation and a clean and valid NYS driver’s license. 

This position is a full-time, non-exempt, 40 hr/wk position with a pay rate of $10.69 per hour.  Scheduled hours are 3:30pm – midnight, Monday through Friday.

Domestic Violence/CPS Advocate

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking an CPS Advocate in our Domestic Violence Program. The Domestic Violence Advocate provides direct services to victims of domestic violence and their children. Serves as a liaison between victims of domestic violence and law enforcement, the courts, social services, and other service providers.

Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology or related field required. Family Development Credential is desired. One year experience working in human services or with victims of domestic violence is preferred.
