Kinship Case Manager

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Kinship Case Manager in our Emergency Services program.  The Kinship Case Manager will promote and support caregiver/family independence and self-sufficiency and to improve the well-being of families. As such, the case management process requires the consent and active participation of the child/caregiver in decision-making by utilizing caregiver led assessments to identify needs and strengths and, respecting a family’s right to privacy, confidentiality, self-determination.

BSW required with a minimum of 2 years prior case management experience working with children and families in crisis.  Knowledge of professional standards governing child welfare critical services.  Must possess the knowledge of kinship foster care programs and client/family services.  Must have experience in crisis prevention and intervention services. Must have a clean and valid NYS driver’s license.

Mental Health Specialist

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Mental Health Specialist in our Emergency Services program.  The Mental Health Specialist will oversee the Kinship Caregiver Program and coordinate delivery of services in Cayuga County. The Specialist will provide trauma-informed case management and support services, provide referrals to trauma informed experts who use evidence based treatment models, manage relationships with participating partners, coordinate kinship caregiver training and support groups.

Must possess a Master’s degree in a mental health profession and have a minimum of 2 years experience working with children and families. Knowledge of professional standards governing child welfare critical services and must possess the knowledge of kinship foster care programs and client/family services.  Must have experience in crisis prevention and intervention services.  Must have a clean and valid NYS driver’s license.

Healthy Families Family Support Worker

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency is seeking a Family Support Worker in our Healthy Families program. The Family Support Worker is responsible for initiating and maintaining regular, long term contact with families for the purpose of strengthening the parent-child relationship, providing child development information, offering support in the areas of goal setting and problem solving.

An Associates’ Degree in Human Services or related field is required with 1-3 years experience working with families in a community setting.  Prior parenting and/or child care experience preferred.  Must have a clean and valid NYS driver’s license.

Case Manager

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Case Manager in our Emergency Services Rapid Re-Housing program. The Case Manager will provide case management services to homeless individuals and families within Cayuga County that are placed in temporary housing.

Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field required with a minimum of two years prior case management experience working with families in crisis.  Demonstrated experience in working with the homeless or low income individuals and families.  Prior experience and understanding of causes of homelessness and experience working with landlords.  Must also have experience in crisis prevention and intervention services.  Must have a clean and valid NYS driver’s license.

Health/Nutrition Coordinator

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Health/Nutrition Coordinator in our Early Childhood Program. The Health/Nutrition Coordinator supervises all health and nutrition staff in program development and manages health services including child medical, dental and nutrition services.  Ensures compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, OCFS licensing and CACFP.

RN preferred or LPN with at least 2 years community health experience.  Experience required in staff supervision.

Janitor/Cleaner Supervisor

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Janitor/Cleaner Supervisor. The Janitor/Cleaner Supervisor is responsible for the general cleaning of Agency buildings and the supervision of the Janitor/Cleaners.

Minimum Qualifications – High School Diploma/GED with at least 2 years of supervisory experience.  Knowledge of custodial tasks and responsibilities, and understanding of custodial materials and   chemicals.  Must have basic computer skills and be able to operate a variety of tools and equipment including vacuum cleaner and power equipment to buff and restore floors and shampoo carpets. Must have reliable transportation and a clean and valid NYS Driver’s License. 

This is a full-time, non-exempt, 40 hr/wk position with a pay rate of $16.50 per hour. Health Care Navigator

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Health Care Navigator for the NYS Health Benefit Exchange in Cayuga County. The Health Care Navigator provides outreach, enrollment, and retention services to families and individuals eligible for government sponsored insurance programs.   The HCN is responsible to coordinate outreach and enrollment efforts by working collaboratively with other staff, member clinics and community based organizations. 

Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED with 2 years of HCN experience, or an Associates’ degree in related healthcare field with experience in benefits administration and experience in the health care and/or insurance industry preferred.  Knowledge of eligibility requirements and application process of all government sponsored health insurance programs. Must have reliable transportation for traveling to work sites within county.  Must have a clean and valid NYS Driver’s License.

Early Childhood Substitutes

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking Substitutes in our Early Childhood Program. Substitutes assist in providing high quality and comprehensive child development instruction to children and parents, and aids in classroom leadership on an as-needed basis.

Must have a High School Diploma or GED.  Experience preferred working with pre-schoolers and/or children with disabilities.
