 Domestic Violence/CPS Advocate

CSCAA is seeking a Domestic Violence/CPS Advocate. The DV/CPS Advocate works in collaboration with the Cayuga County Department of Health and Human Services Child Protective Services Unit to provide direct services to victims of domestic violence and their children.

High School Diploma/GED or completion of 60 credit hours (minimum) in a regionally accredited or NYS registered college is preferred. One year experience working with victims of domestic violence is required.  The job description is attached.

Supervised Visitation/Safe Exchange Center Monitors and Substitutes

 

CSCAA is seeking Supervised Visitation/Safe Exchange Center Monitors and Substitutes. The SVSE Center Monitor will be present for all supervised visits and safe exchanges.  The Monitor will be responsible for documenting all required information for visits and exchanges.

 Applicants should have a minimum of 60 credit hours in a regionally accredited or NYS registered college or a high school diploma/GED and have at least one year of early childhood experience.  Must have reliable transportation and a clean and valid NYS Drivers License.   Applicants must not have a current or past Order of Protection against them, or have a history of being a perpetrator of domestic abuse.

 The Center Monitor position is part-time, non-exempt with a pay rate of $10.64 per hour, 20 hrs/wk. 

 Center Monitor Substitutes are needed with the same requirements and rate of pay as stated above.   Substitutes will be called on an as-needed basis.

Assistant Teacher

CSCAA is seeking a full-time Assistant Teacher for their Head Start Program located at the Southern Cayuga Central School. The Assistant Teacher helps in providing high quality and comprehensive child development instruction to children and parents, and aids in classroom leadership.

 Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from an accredited college or a higher degree in a related field is required.  This is a 10-month position that follows the Head Start School Calendar. Reliable transportation and a clean and valid NYS driver’s license is required.  Attached is the job description.

Combination Option Teacher

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a full-time Combination Option Teacher in their Early Childhood Program.  This position is in the Cato School District. The Combination Option Teacher works directly with families and children in their home and the classroom providing early childhood education, adult education, and advocacy. 

A Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field from an accredited college is required.  This position is an exempt, full-time 10-month position that follows the Head Start School Calendar. Reliable transportation and a clean and valid NYS driver’s license is required.  Excellent benefits package.  Bi-weekly salary is $1,183.20.

Janitor/Cleaner

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a Janitor/Cleaner. The Janitor/Cleaner is responsible for general cleaning, maintenance, and upkeep of Agency sites.

Minimum Qualifications – High School Diploma/GED.  Knowledge of custodial tasks and responsibilities, and understanding of custodial materials and chemicals.  Ability to safely work with equipment and mild chemicals common to the trade and do so in a manner safe to oneself, others in the area, and to the environment.  Must have reliable transportation and a clean and valid NYS Driver’s License.

Energy Services Crew Foreman

Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking an Energy Services Crew Foreman. The Foreman will ensure the proper completion of energy audits, workscope development and installation of prescribed energy efficient retrofits.  Provide daily supervision of and direction to Energy Services Crew Members and Building Technicians.

 High school diploma/GED required.  A NYS Manufactured Housing Mechanic certification strongly preferred or the ability to become certified within 6 months required.  Four years of field experience and a working knowledge of basic handyman skills and carpentry skills. Supervisory experience required. Reliable transportation and a clean, valid NYS driver’s license is required. 

This position is a full-time, non-exempt position with a payrate of $15.20/hr., 40 hrs/wk.  Excellent benefits package.
