Cayuga County Coalition Against Domestic Violence

  Cayuga Seneca Community Action Agency’s Domestic Violence Intervention Program facilitates the Cayuga County Coalition Against Domestic Violence, whose mission is to decrease the incidents of domestic violence in Cayuga County by:
  • Coordinating services to better serve survivors of domestic violence
  • Sharing strategies
  • Keeping up with recent legislation and best practices
  • Discussing and eliminating barriers to services in our county
  • Sharing successes and failures in the systems survivors utilize and finding solutions

To achieve these goals, the Coalition undertakes the following activities:

  • Meets once a month to discuss current issues and cases
  • Networks with other local resources and agencies in order to coordinate services
  • Discusses strategies to serve survivors in diverse situations
  • Shares new information (legislation, trainings, opportunities and services for survivors, etc.)

Over a dozen agencies are involved in the Coalition, including:

  • Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency’s Domestic Violence Intervention Program

  • Cayuga County Supreme Court
  • Cayuga County Family Court
  • Auburn Police Department
  • Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office
  • Cayuga County 911 Center
  • Cayuga County District Attorney’s Office
  • Cayuga County Department of Health and Human Services
  • Cayuga Centers
  • Cayuga Counseling Services
  • Child Protective Services
